Custom Orders

We make custom order collections! We love working with our clients (YOU!) to turn your space into the home of your dreams. Everyday, we aim to make unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else, which is why our custom work is so important to us. Learn a bit about our custom process below!

 

  

The Process  

  1. First things first, send us an inquiry email at info@lovetheclutter.com, or fill out the form on the bottom of this page!
  2. We need to learn about you and your space! Send us a picture of the space needing a pillow spruce! Do you have any favorite rooms of your home? Or inspiration images? We want to see it all!

  3. Now, lets design together! We will start with color palette and fabric picks, creating 1-3 storyboards to choose from. We will make suggestions as to quantity and shapes we think could complement your space. Please allow 10 business days for this part of the process.*Please note that one round of edits is included in this process. If additional rounds of edits are required, an additional charge will apply per re-design.

  4. Once the palette and fabrics are chosen, we will design pieces and send sketches with costing. Please allow for 10 business days for this part of the process.*Please note that one round of edits is included in this process.  If additional rounds of edits are required, an additional charge will apply per re-design.

  5. We will request for client approval and a deposit percentage from the total sum.

  6. Once fabrics are received, we will be able to advise our send-by date.  This date will vary depending on material availability.

Custom Pillow Pricing

We have a $500.00 minimum for custom orders. Since these pieces take considerable time and are specially sourced, made, and designed by our one-woman design team, we are unable to accept smaller orders at this time.

Pricing will vary from the price of our InHouse line. Pricing of custom pieces is based on the cost of materials, custom pattern, labor and our custom fee. The pricing is unique to each piece based on price of materials and intricacy of the piece. Once designs are landed, Clutter will provide pricing for each piece before fabric is purchased. We will not proceed until the client confirms design and costing. Once fabric is ordered we will not accept cancelled orders or returns for custom orders.

The Timeline

Our timelines will vary pending client interactions, design rounds and availability of fabric. Here is a general timeline of what what you can expect:

  • Receipt of storyboards with fabrics: 10 business days (or two weeks) after Clutter receives client info
  • Receipt of sketches and pricing: 10 business days (or two weeks) after approval of storyboards
  • Standard orders will be completed within three weeks of receiving fabric to our studio. This will depend on availability of materials, number of pillows ordered, intricacy of designs and custom patterns.
  • Clutter will advise a projected send-by once materials arrive to the studio
**please understand that with Covid-19, the process may vary from our standard procedure. The timeline may extend based on delayed materials.**

Finding The Materials

To create truly special pieces, we source from many different places, and this takes time! We always start with samples of the fabric and trim first, to ensure all pieces match and flow. Due to Covid-19, we are unable to meet our suppliers in person and must wait for samples by mail, please understand that this will extend the timeline. Once we order and receive final fabrics and trims, we will be able to advice an approximated send by date.

Since custom pillows are two to four pieces per textile, we are not able to use our standard wholesale suppliers and contacts; thus, our handmade, organic or fair trade qualifiers may not apply to custom order fabrics. 

Shipping and Returns

Our client is responsible for the cost of shipping orders. 

We do not accept returns or exchanges for custom pieces.  Once Clutter purchases materials, we will not accept cancelled orders or returns.

Your happiness is of the utmost importance to us.  If you are unhappy with the custom order, please reach out to us and we will try to work with you to find a solution.
